“I’ve always believed that spaces carry energy — and that we feel them before we understand them.”

I’m Sidra Nasir — an interior designer, a mother, and someone who has always been deeply attuned to how spaces make people feel.

My journey began in the heart of city life — styling hotels and designing cafés where I first discovered my passion for creating spaces that people don’t just see, but feel. I became fascinated by how a room could shape mood, spark connection, or offer quiet refuge. Wanting to deepen this passion, I pursued formal training through the British Academy of Interior Design (BAID), where I gained the tools and structure to bring my creative ideas to life.

But it wasn’t until I became a mother that something within me truly shifted.

Motherhood brought with it a slower, more sensitive way of seeing the world. We left the fast rhythm of city life behind and moved to the countryside — a decision that allowed me to truly tune into the impact our surroundings have on wellbeing.

I began to notice how my children responded to light, sound, textures — how they instinctively sought spaces that felt safe and nurturing. I saw how the environment could either support their calm or disrupt it entirely. That deepened my purpose: to create spaces that don't just look good, but feel right — especially for young, growing minds.

I began exploring the science of how our environments affect our emotions, our nervous systems, and our sense of self. I dove into research on sensory processing, biophilia, light psychology, and the subtle language of materials and colour. I became fascinated with how design could support wellbeing — not just as a concept, but as a lived experience.

This wasn’t about trends.
It was about creating spaces that breathe with us. Spaces that nourish, restore, and hold us — especially in a world that often moves too fast.

A name for a way of designing I had always felt, but never had words for.
A practice rooted in empathy, awareness, and intention.
A call to designers, clients, and creators who believe in the quiet power of space to heal and uplift.

If you've ever walked into a room and felt a sense of peace, comfort, or clarity — you already understand what Neuroterior Design is about.

Thank you for being here.
I’m so glad you found this space.
